The task to narrow down the list of delicious filled fresh pastas from Maria's was a tortuous task! Luckily for us, it involved plenty of taste testing to ensure that we made the right selection for you.

In 500g portions (big enough to feed 2-3 hungry humans), we'll be bringing you:

Ricotta & Spinach Ravioli

A classic Italian filling. Maria's uses only fresh Australian ricotta and spinach, lightly flavoured with parmesan cheese and a hint of nutmeg.

Pumpkin Agnolotti

Pumpkin is roasted with onions and blended with almonds to give a full, robust flavour. These perfect parcels have a short best by (1st of July), so we've knocked the price down to reflect this.

Pasta la Vista, baby!

Note: Maria's Pasta is made fresh in Carlton, and then snap frozen to ensure quality. Once frozen, it can be stored for up to three months and can be cooked straight from the freezer. The freezing process removes none of the quality or nutrition, it just lasts longer. It is tortellini awesome!

Fabulous flavour but...

You can taste the quality in both the fettuccine and napoli sauce. I mixed a little seafood through and it was incredible. However, cooking the fettuccine was a NIGHTMARE. Imagine your 6 year old daughter washing her hair with bubblegum and then trying to brush it out?!
I defrosted the packet first and just had to let it boil itself unstuck, that didn't work so I used tongs and a pasta server and while it helped, I got burned by the heat and water.
I thought it was going to end up one big glug for the compost but thankfully it came apart just enough for the family.
Fortunately it was just for me and the kids and as mentioned, flavour was fantastic but something needs to be done about the sticky ball it comes in.
